Again you won’t have to start from scratch, however you will have a few more hurdles.

Provided your certification has not been expired for a longer than 24 months, you will be able to recertify to your previous level.

You will need to complete a 2 day refresher training course in addition to a 1 day appraisal prior to undertaking your 5 day training and assessment for your particular level.

Unfortunately you will not be able to upgrade to a higher IRATA level as easily once your expiry period exceeds 6 months .

Firstly you’ll need to recertify to the IRATA level you previously held. You’ll then need a further 300 logged hours , 6 months experience and a reference from the IRATA company you last trained with before you can carry out training and assessment at a higher level.
